General Manager Operations / Deputy General Manager Operations

  • Location : ideally Balikpapan
  • General working condition of 5 days and weekend off HOWEVER working hours / days will need to suit business requirements
  • Travel : approximately 60% - 70% of the time locally with limited overseas travel
  • Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for managing a team of Operations Managers and Projects who in turn will manage a cluster of contracts in remote locations
    • Guide and manage the Operations team to deliver a consistent level of good service, ensure compliance to SoW, profit achievement
    • Manage relationship with clients (end users)
    • Identify weaknesses / gaps within the corrections, implement corrective action plans and ensure plans are executed
    • Trouble shoot and support either internally or as a result of feedback from client any escalations to be closed out on priority basis
    • Enforce good practises, attend meetings and QBR’s with client reps (and follow up on points raised in QBR’s to be closed out)
    • Lead, together with other departmental heads mobilisation of new projects
    • Work closely with other department on Manpower matters (HR), supply chain and logistics (Purchasing), Health and Safety (HSE) & Finance Related matters, Business Development & Retention
    • Work closely with the Business Development Team around new business opportunities and retention of existing contracts
    • To be a close link and the eyes and ears and report any issues / matters to the Senior Management Team
    • Identify innovation that can be introduced within the business at our contracts, identify areas we can improve / optimise our operations and identify areas where we can be better at client satisfaction
    • Be involved and be accountable for daily food cost targets, labour and OT management, menu management etc etc
  • Experience – this individual must already have solid experience from a similar industry, numerate and has good communication and leadership skills. A proven track record of being able to manage and multi task will be important and they will have a support structure to assist
  • Remunerations :
    • Range for GM OPS will be 45m gross (before tax) or above depending on candidate  
    • Range for Dy GM OPS will be 30m (before tax) gross or above depending on candidate
    • Private Healthcare scheme
    • Incentive Year End Bonus (Performance Based)
    • Upon successful probation candidate(s) will be made permanent
    • Company Car Allowance (possible)
