Senior Engineer for Transmission Line
§ Transmission line engineers design and analyze transmission lines, which are cables and other media specifically designed for power distribution and telecommunication purposes. They may develop designs within an office setting as well as review potential construction sites in the field.
§ Transmission line engineers typically begin a project by meeting with subcontractor and clients to determine specific system needs and requirements, such as power usage specifications. These professionals then begin researching potential materials, equipment and designs to fit system requirements.
§ Transmission line engineers use computer-aided design software (CAD) to create mathematical models and system designs. Lastly, they test these designs to check electrical clearances, perform sag-tension analysis and evaluate other parameters.
§ The ability to work independently and perform transmission line engineering work
§ Knowledge and thorough understanding of transmission engineering, conductor selection and material take offs
§ Other duties as assigned
§ Bachelor's degree
§ Minimum of 10 years of work experience related in transmission line with PLN
§ More than three project of Transmission line
(500 kV Transmission line more than one project)
§ Knowledge and understanding of engineering standards : SNI Code, PLN Standard and other applied specification in previous IPP Project.
