  1. Bachelor's degree or above (in Finance, Economics or related disciplines)
  2. 4 - 6 years of working experience in Treasury or audit.  Dealing room control experience is an advantage. Less experience will be still considered
  3. Independent, responsible, strong analytical abilities and communication skill and good time management
  4. Fluent written and oral English

Job Description :

Responsible for internal risk control and monitoring duties in Financial Markets Department / Team’s banking book and trading book, including the following:

  1. Perform regular internal risk control and monitoring functions in accordance with the guidelines and manuals set out by Financial Markets in the Head Office, such as ensuring accurate reflection of risk positions in the Risk Monitoring System, detecting irregular trades and conducting follow up examinations, daily monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational risk measures, etc., as well as preparing internal monitoring and compliance reports.   
  2. Verify the validity and appropriateness of traders’ mandates (including system access rights) prior to their trading, and confirm the validity of any requests for temporary trading limit breaches.
  3. Monitor and ensure that the traders’ regular work flow is consistent with the requirements set out in the relevant operating manuals.  Identify potential risk areas throughout the work flow of banking book and trading book operation and set up the corresponding risk control measures in accordance with the Head Office’s requirements. 
  4. Act as the liaison between local Risk Management units and the Head Office. Ensure that Financial Markets in the Head Office is immediately notified of any irregularities in trading activities and propose corrective measures accordingly.
  5. Work with Financial Markets in the Head Office in carrying out periodic on-site and off-site examinations to assess the effectiveness of internal risk control measures. Follow up on audit issues raised by internal/external auditors, monitor the implementation of rectification measures and validate the effectiveness of actions taken by collecting supporting information that can be used as proof of actions.
  6. Provide timely information to Financial Markets in the Head Office including new changes in regulations and assessment of impact on local treasury business.
  7. Complete any other tasks assigned by Business Control Teams of Financial Markets in the Head Office.
