Is JAC a Japanese Company?

JAC is an International Recruitment Agency – set up originally in the UK by a Japanese couple who subsequently further developed the business in South East Asia. JAC operates in 9 countries with 18 offices. JAC Indonesia has 33 Consultants, which is the largest JAC office.

Does JAC only serve Japanese companies?

JAC serves multinational, Indonesian as well as Japanese companies. We are focused on mid-level managerial positions and above, but sometimes can assist with candidates for lower positions for clients.

What are JAC's other businesses?

JAC's core business is in recruitment. In addition we also provide other supportive services, including: translation, interpretation, company establishment documents, and HR Consulting through through JAC Business Center.

Why is the JAC placement fee more expensive than some other agencies, while they have the same system and facilities as JAC?

In which area is JAC strongest?

JAC serves all kinds of industries, but our clients mostly come from automotive, trading, FMCG, and manufacturing industries. In regards to positions: we place most of our candidates in Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting and Finance, and other senior management positions.

How does JAC get its candidates?

 

We have a large database of over 20.000 resumes of which nearly 10.000 have been interviewed by our specialist Consultants. We get our candidates from advertisements in the newspaper, Internet, and our website. For executive level, we conduct a search through our network and referrals.

What is the quality of JAC candidates?

JAC Candidates range from fresh graduates to executives with a wide variety of qualifications and experience.  One candidate considered qualified for one company may not be qualified for another company, depending on the client's requirements and position.

Our Consultants try their best to fulfill Client's needs by providing suitable candidates; although it also depends on how attractive the offered package and assignment are to the candidates.

Why are there differences in JAC fees?

 

 

We focus on mid-level managerial level, but actually serve all levels.

Each level has specific characteristics and expected timeline.  Higher level managers require more intensive communications, especially on the responsibilities and the compensation package.  We, therefore, add a 10% administration fee for higher level positions.

Is it possible to make the payment in installments?  For instance in 2 payments?

Do you offer discounted services?

Our fee must be paid in full in one payment.

 

Discount or change in payment terms may eliminate the replacement guarantee.

What is your guarantee for a one time replacement?

JAC will replace a candidate at no charge if they resign within the first 3 months.

Replacement terms will apply when the client has settled the invoice and informed JAC in writing.

If the position is already filled or no candidates are available, JAC will give a one time free placement for a different position with the following conditions:

1. The replacement must occur within a 1 year period from the candidate's resignation date.
2. The new position is at the same level (position and salary not higher by more than Rp 5 million).
If higher – JAC will charge an additional fee
If lower – JAC will not change additional fees

Why is the guarantee only for the first 3 month period? For managerial positions 3 months evaluation may not be enough.

The 3 months policy is not because of the probation period in Indonesia, but it is the term that is applied to all JAC offices.  It is set that a 3 month period is adequate for evaluation.

How long will it take for JAC to find a replacement candidate?

Our consultants will base the reconfirmation on the position with the client. Periodically the consultant will broaden the search and inform the client. This method will continue for 1 month.

If no candidates are available (limited skills or requires specific license, etc.), then we may advise the client to place an advertisement (cost borne by client) in the newspaper and JAC will do the selection at no cost.

What is the 10% administration fee?

It is an advance payment for positions with salaries above Rp. 15 million gross per month.

The amount is 10% of the estimated invoice, paid when the client signs the agreement.

This is to acquire a commitment from the client since our consultant will approach high level candidates which need a specific approach.

What if JAC can not provide the candidate after receiving the administration fee?

The administration fee is not refundable. However, during the search process, the consultant will inform the client periodically on the progress and efforts expended on their behalf.

Are the Terms and Conditions exclusive – can a client use another agency to search for a candidate at the same time?

JAC's Terms and Conditions are not exclusive.  The client can use as many agencies as is needed to speed up the search.
One of JAC's motto is SPEED – JAC will provide the candidates within 3 days.

What happens if a candidate withdraws after signing the offer?

JAC will not issue an invoice until the position is filled by a JAC candidate. Clients must pay a penalty if they cancel the hiring after the candidate accepts and signs the offer.

Is one Corporate Agreement applicable to one company or can it be used if a holding company recruits for a sister company in a different business line?

Most importantly is determining that the person who represents the company / companies is an Authorized Agent to sign agreements for the company / companies as per the company articles.

Will JAC recruit our successful candidates to positions with JAC's other clients?

JAC guarantees not to approach clients' employees directly.  However, if that employee applies for a position that JAC advertises; he/she will be treated the same as any other applicant.

JAC will not process your successful candidate for at least one year.  Moreover if they want to move after one year, he/she must sign a Statement Letter mentioning that it was he/she who approached JAC, and not JAC who approached him/her.

What is JAC's responsibility, if the candidate placed by JAC conducts a criminal act at the client's' company?

JAC cannot guarantee or be responsible for any misconduct, loss, or crimes committed by the candidate, before or after he/she joins the client's company. This is clearly stated in JAC's Corporate Agreement signed by both JAC and the Client.
