The government will install surveillance cameras or CCTVs to oversee offices and factories that are still operating during the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB). In addition to installing CCTV, the government will also conduct a routine inspection to ensure there are no offices or factories that are still open.

The Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, Tjahjo Kumolo, has extended the work from home policy for the state civil apparatus to 13 May 2020.  The regulation was announced through the MenPANRB Circular Letter No. 50 of 2020 concerning the Second Amendment to the MenPANRB Circular Letter No. 19 of 2020 concerning Adjustment of the Civil Servant Work System in Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 in Government Agencies.

President Joko Widodo has officially requested for provincial administrations to conduct large-scale COVID-19 tests which will help the government map out the spread of the corona virus in Indonesia. He also reaffirms the importance of progressive contact tracing on patients that has been exposed to the corona virus and calls for such patients to be immediately isolated.

Despite the COVID-19 outbreak, the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has recorded an increase in investment realization in the first quarter (Q1) of the year, reaching up to Rp. 210.7 trillion. This has contributed 308,085 employment opportunities from 25,192 investment projects. Investment realization has increased 1.2 percent quarter-to-quarter (qtq) and 8 percent year-on-year (yoy).

The West Java administration has officially applied for the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in the Greater Surabaya area, encompassing Surabaya, Sidoarjo and Gresik. The Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, has stated that Surabaya has become the epicenter of COVID-19 in East Java, and that Sidoarjo and Gresik, as Surabaya's satellite cities, are showing an increase in patients diagnosed with COVID-19.

The Even-Odd number plate policy for DKI Jakarta roads will continue to be lifted until April 23, 2020. This policy is done in accordance with the COVID-19 situation in Jakarta, where previously it was only in affect until  April 19, 2020. The Sub Division Head of Law Enforcement of the Jakarta Police Directorate of Traffic, Fahri Siregar, has stated that the COVID-19 pandemic has become the main factor for the extension of the policy.

Indonesia will issue larger tax breaks to cover 11 business sectors similar to the incentives given to manufacturing industries to help companies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, said that the 11 sectors are food, trade, electricity, oil and gas, mining and coal, forestry, tourism and the creative economy, telecommunications, logistics, transportation and construction. The incentives would be in the form of individual income tax exemptions, import tax deferrals and 30 percent corporate tax discounts.

The Head of the National Police Criminal Research Department, Listyo Sigit Prabowo,  has stated that the government will process all violators of the Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) policies. The National Police has established a Special Task Force in enforcing laws specific to the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil claimed to have received permission to implement the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) for the Greater Bandung area. The regions that has obtained permits to impose PSBB were Bandung City, Bandung Regency, West Bandung Regency, Cimahi City, and Sumedang Regency. It was agreed that the implementation of PSBB in the Greater Bandung area will be held next week, around April 22, 2020.

Jakarta is likely to extend the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), as the Governor has said that 14 days is not long enough to bring the COVID-19 transmissions under control. Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that while the PSBB was to be in effect for 14 days, in reality, this kind of outbreak will not be over in 14 days. He added that it is better to assume that this outbreak will last longer and be better prepared for an extension. He also urged the House supervisory team to consult with epidemiologists on the projected duration of the outbreak.

The Bekasi City Government has agreed to temporarily stop the operation of the Electric Train (KRL) during the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB). The proposal regarding the policy was also approved by the regional heads in Bekasi, Bogor, and Depok, through the signing of a mutual agreement. Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi said the proposed temporary suspension of KRL operations is a strategic step to break the chain of the spread of the new Corona Virus outbreak or COVID-19.

The Makassar City Government will start enacting a Large-Scale Social Implementation (PSBB) on the 24th of April, coincide with 1 Ramadhan 1441 Hijri. The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of South Sulawesi (South Sulawesi) asked residents not to live in the mosque, but in their own homes. The provincial government of DKI Jakarta has conducted a sudden inspection on a number of companies that has violated the rules of the Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB). Until now (17/04), there have been 23 companies temporarily closed. Based on the governor's regulation No. 33 of 2020, Article 10 states that there are 11 business sectors that are permitted to operate during the PSBB. The 23 companies that were closed were said to continue employing their employees as usual in the office. He said that they had been given a warning so that action had to be taken firmly, said Andi as the Head of Jakarta's Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Office.

Therefore, Jokowi believes the tourism sector will boom again in 2021. "I believe this is only until the end of the year. All hotels in the Greater Tangerang area are required to provide services for guests who want to undertake independent quarantine, starting from Saturday (18/4) in the early morning when the region imposed Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB). Tangerang Raya covers Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, and South Tangerang City. This obligation is contained in Banten Governor Regulation (Pergub) number 16 of 2020, concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of PSBB, in Part Three concerning 'Limitation of Work Activities in the Workplace'. The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of the Ministry of Finance has eased the postponement of excise payments to maintain the sustainability of the industry amid the Corona virus pandemic (COVID-19). This means that the government will not collect excise tax within a certain period of time as a relaxation for business people due to delays in the excise logistics in the market. Based on DJBC's official statement quoted, Jakarta, Thursday (4/16/2020), the decree was contained in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 30 / PMK.04 / 2020 concerning amendments to PMK Number 57 / PMK.04 / 2017 concerning the postponement excise payment for manufacturers or importers of excisable goods carrying out repayment by sticking the excise stamps. This relaxation applies to the excise band order submitted by the factory entrepreneur on April 9-July 9 2020, given a delay of 90 days or approximately 3 months.

PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (PT KCI) has stated that as of today (16/4) no Commuter Lines has stopped operating in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area. PT KCI is currently discussing the possibility with the central government and various regional administrations. The stipulation is- stated in Banten Governor Decree Number 443/Kep.140 Huk/2020 concerning the Determination of PSBB in the Greater Tangerang Region in the framework of the Acceleration of Corona Virus Deseas 2019 dated April 15, 2020, dated April 15. The application of PSBB in the Greater Tangerang area, mentioned in the letter, is valid for two weeks, starting April 18 until May 3.

The Vice President of the Indonesian Labor Union Confederation (KSPI), Obon Tabroni, does not have a legitimate legal basis and disregards the safety of many workers.
