The Accountant role offers the opportunity to support core finance operations within a business in the transportation sector. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth accounting processes.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain all financial transactions, including entering data into accounting software and keeping accurate transaction records
Prepare and maintain accounts receivable, payable and general ledger accounts including processing invoices, receipts, tracking payments, and following up on overdue payments
Reconcile accounts by comparing financial records to ensure accuracy and resolving any discrepancies
Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
Coordinate and liaise with external parties such as auditors, bankers and tax advisers on related matters
Prepare and administer payments for employee claims
Carry out other ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience, CPA preferred, Brevet A and B
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with accounting systems, with Accurate preferred
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Independent, with a strong work ethic and a team-oriented approach
Fluent in written and spoken English
