The After Sales Service Engineer role is based in Central Jakarta and focuses on supporting machinery sales, after-sales service, and customer relationship management for food and beverages field machinery. This role is a great fit for someone with strong interest in machinery, hands-on maintenance, and technical customer communication across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
Responsibilities
Promote and sell machines and spare parts, mainly for the food and beverages field
Visit customers periodically to check machine conditions and maintain customer relationships
Provide maintenance services, including troubleshooting and overhaul
Handle customer communication, complaints, and technical explanatons
Build long-term relationships with customers in Indonesia and Southeast Asia
Coordinate with Japanese engineers and regional customers as needed
Support other departments or business activities within the company when required
Requirements
Fluent in Japanese, with minimum JLPT N3 and JLPT N2 preferred
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Strong motivation to work as both a Sales Engineer and After-Sales Service Engineer
Comfortable handling customer communication, complaints, and technical explanations
Capable of building long-term relationships with customers in Indonesia and Southeast Asia
Strong interest in machinery, especially maintenance, troubleshooting, and hands-on work
Willing to learn from the beginning about food processing machinery, including training in Japan if required
Background in mechanical or electrical engineering, or experience in machine maintenance is highly preferred
