The Japanese Interpreter role facilitates accurate communication between Japanese-speaking and Indonesian- or English-speaking employees across daily business activities, meetings, and discussions. The position also supports written translation, formal business correspondence, and coordination while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Responsibilities
Provide interpretation support between Japanese and Indonesian or English for daily business communication, meetings, and discussions
Deliver and convey messages accurately in Japanese to ensure clear communication between parties
Assist with translating written documents, emails, reports, and other business correspondence as required
Compose and respond to emails in polite and formal Japanese appropriate for a business environment
Support Japanese-speaking and Indonesian- or English-speaking employees with communication and coordination activities
Facilitate smooth communication while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information
Requirements
JLPT N1 is preferred; candidates with JLPT N2 may be considered if they demonstrate advanced Japanese communication skills
Proven ability to interpret conversations and convey messages accurately in Japanese
Strong written Japanese skills, with the ability to draft and respond to business emails using polite and formal language
Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to work effectively in a professional business environment
Previous experience as a Japanese interpreter, translator, or Japanese-speaking support professional will be an advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred
