The Branch Manager role is based in Jakarta and offers an opportunity to oversee commercial and day-to-day logistics operations for a multinational company. This role is ideal for a logistics professional with strong commercial judgement, operational leadership, and experience managing branch performance across freight forwarding and logistics activities.
Responsibilities
Achieve revenue, volume turnover, and overall profitability targets for the branch
Identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive growth across service verticals
Lead and manage teams across operations, sales, and customer service to ensure performance excellence
Supervise and coordinate cargo movements to ensure timely and efficient delivery
Maintain high customer satisfaction, resolve issues promptly, and strengthen long-term partnerships
Manage branch finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiate competitive rates, and ensure timely space support for export bookings
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field
Minimum 7 years of experience in operations or sales within freight forwarding, including prior management and supervisory roles
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong communication and presentation skills
Strong commercial mindset with proven experience in P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Proven leadership and operational management experience, with the ability to drive performance excellence across functions
Deep industry knowledge of shipping, NVOCC, freight forwarding, and logistics operations
