The Automation & Maintenance Engineer role involves supporting production reliability through the upkeep and optimisation of electrical and automation systems. The position works closely with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, enhance system performance, and maintain operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical and automation equipment
Programme and modify PLC systems to support and improve automation processes
Maintain and calibrate key components such as inverters, motors, and sensors
Design and develop electrical control panels and circuit diagrams
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for technical support
Requirements
Minimum SMK, D3, or S1 in Electrical Engineering or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in electrical or automation maintenance
Hands-on experience or practical knowledge in PLC programming using industry-standard tools
Strong understanding of inverter and motor control systems
Ability to read and create electrical circuit diagrams
Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
Experience in a textile manufacturing environment is an advantage
Experience with field equipment commissioning is preferred
Knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems is a plus
