The Engineering Manager role offers an opportunity to lead engineering operations within a manufacturing company in the frozen seafood industry. This position plays a key part in maintaining equipment reliability, supporting production performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the engineering team, including supervisors and operators across three shifts
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of production machinery and utilities
Ensure the smooth operation of all engineering systems to support production targets
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and equipment reliability
Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and PPIC teams to support operational excellence
Manage CAPEX projects, including equipment investments and upgrades, while maintaining OPEX control
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Prepare reports and present updates to management
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field)
Minimum 5–7 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience in the food processing industry or manufacturing industry is highly preferred
Strong technical knowledge of machinery, utilities, and maintenance systems
Proven leadership experience managing teams and shift operations
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
English proficiency is preferred
