The Production Engineer role is responsible for supporting production engineering activities, including the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of jigs and production equipment. The position also contributes to process improvement by applying error-proofing methods, waste reduction analysis, and independent problem-solving to improve production efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities
Manufacture, repair, and maintain jigs and production equipment to ensure smooth production operations
Apply Poka-yoke (error-proofing) principles to minimise errors and improve production reliability
Conduct 3M analysis to identify and reduce waste (muda), unevenness (mura), and overburden (muri) in processes
Support continuous improvement initiatives within production engineering activities
Ensure tasks are completed accurately and independently with a strong sense of responsibility
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Strong experience and skills in production engineering, including manufacturing and repairing jigs and production equipment
In-depth knowledge of Poka-yoke and 3M analysis concepts
Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility and a positive attitude
