Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounting department in a manufacturing company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation and closing of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Conduct and oversee tax investigations, prepare documentation, and represent the company in tax court proceedings.
- Effectively negotiate with tax investigation officers to ensure favorable outcomes for the company.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records. - Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a head of accounting in a manufacturing company.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, financial statement preparation, and closing processes.
- Extensive experience in tax investigations and tax court proceedings.
- Excellent negotiation skills with tax investigation officers and regulatory authorities.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
