Our Japanese heavy machinery company client is seeking a skilled Jig and Tool Engineer Assistant Manager to join their team. Please see the details below:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
At least 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer Assistant Manager.
Knowledge of manufacturing technology for automotive parts (work experience is an advantage).
Advanced understanding of cutting, machining, and sheet metal processes, both manual and CNC, as well as machining standards (e.g., ISO standards on general machining and tolerances).
Familiarity with additive manufacturing technologies (3D printing).
Understanding of material properties (steel).
Proficient in written and spoken English.
Responsibilites:
- Analyze jigs and tools utilized in the production department.
- Generate reports on analysis findings for management review.
- Assess which tools need replacement and which can continue to be used.
- Standardize machine tools and consumables, including jigs and fixtures.
